Is MetalWërks® a European company?
MetalWërks® is a product line of custom
architectural products, manufactured by Metal Sales & Service,
Inc., a family owned business in Pennsylvania since 1968.
Read our company
history for
more details.
What type of material is available?
MetalWërks® products are made of solid aluminum and stainless steel. In most cases, materials are produced from 80% recycled content. They are not insulated, composite or comprised of laminated layers.
What sizes are available?
Most products are available in any custom size or module in increments:
• Up to 60" in ArcWall
• Up to 72" wide for some other products Up to 18'-0" in
length
• Up to 16'-0" for radiused column
covers .
Contact our
sales team for specific limitations.
How are panels attached to the building?
All panels are manufactured with integral mounting flanges that are continuous and easily mounted to stud backup, masonry, or other common substrates. Our Sales & Service engineering staff can assist with framing methods.
Can you offer credits toward Leed certification?
New products are made from materials using 80% post consumer recycled content. With its plants located on the East Coast, additional credits are available to projects within a 450 miles radius. Several projects in our project gallery received Leed certification.
How much does ArcWall cost?
As a custom fabricated product, ArcWall products have a wide range in cost depending on the specific product and design of the project. There are several factors which can reduce product cost:
• average net square footage per individual
panel -- ideal sizes (between 30 - 40
SF panel unit) reduce fabrication cost and field
labor. • panels exceeding 40" in width require
stiffening in high wind
load areas -- narrow
and long panels require fewer stiffeners
and
often result in a reduced cost. • repetition of typical panel modules
reduces cost -- small numbers of panel sizes
add fabrication and engineering cost to the
product.
Average material costs for ArcWall 1500 can range from $13.00 for simple designs on larger projects to $25.00 for more complex designs on small projects.
Why solid metal versus composite?
There are several reasons to use solid metal over composite:
• Solid panels are 100% recyclable! • Solid 1/8" aluminum panels are more
impact-resistant to common dings and dents
in the construction process and in high traffic
applications.
• Solid materials are finished after fabrication
allowing paint coverage on all edges
and corners of the panels creating a
better
finish. • Solid materials are welded on panel corners
eliminating
unsightly gaps and seams
in the panel construction that allows water
migration through the panel joint and also
facilitates
more complex shapes, curves, or
custom contours without
visible joints. • Solid materials are available with a wider
range of finishes,
colors, or textures in
small quantities without costly minimums,
quantities
or setup charges.
How can I request information beyond what is detailed on this website?

We have standard Autocad details for ArcWall 1500 and 2510, MetalLok Column Enclosures.
As a custom manufacturer we have a vast library
of unique applications in our AutoCAD database. Chances are,
we've done something similar to your project
before - so call us to discuss the details.
What are your Standard lead times?
Lead times depend on a number of factors:
• Current engineering and production
backlog • Approvals of colors, finishes or shop drawings • Type of materials • Field dimensions • Complexity of the project.
On small to medium size projects, average lead times are 7-8 weeks for painted products or 6-8 weeks for some stainless products. Larger projects require 8-10 weeks.
Our staff is cognizant of construction schedules and sequences. We work with our clients to create phased production and deliveries sensitive to their project needs.
Do you have a rep network?
We have representation for our products in most Eastern States either through Manufacturers Reps or distributors depending on the region.
